Even if you have a Y SO SRS blog that happens to be on Tumblr because it’s much easier to maintain, you’re probably aware of its reputation of being all about the fun. That is, memes, fandom, GIFs, art, and all the derp in between.
For designers, the derp means the fail and misfortune of other people’s work in single-serving sites. Is this calling out a trend for being blindly followed? Is it malicious, bullying shaming, since designers tend to be elitist? Or is it a call to arms because the user experience is being sacrificed for profit or aesthetics?
