Take a look at the top-voted answer by Shannon: In this answer I will evaluate the degree of gender treason committed by the following seven women, who so blithely bask in the glory of the patriarchy anointing them with the empty title “princess”, thereby condemning innocent little girls worldwide to a life wracked by miserable, insatiable lust for a crown, a ballgown, and a 17-inch waist… Then a countering view […]

Bangkok
I don’t have many words for Bangkok; the city streets were much like the ones we know and love, while the sights were majestic. Here’s an abridged collection of photos from that trip (the rest are here)—way back in 2011, has it been that long?
Inbox zero
It’s a shame Google doesn’t have a more interesting address. Microsoft has @live.com while Apple has @me.com. Not sure why people opt for @outlook.com or @mac.com/@icloud.com when you can have those. Update (10/17/13): Added updates to Yahoo! Mail and iCloud. Their interfaces look slick too, but neither compare to the power of Gmail. I don’t really have a reason to give out those other addresses either. Ocean theme at dawn […]
FFC 2012 Speaker Sketches by Gab Madrid
Gab Madrid did these sketches of speakers and friends at the 2012 Form Function & Class web design conference. Awesome! ♥
Scio me nihil scire · Always be curious · Never stop learning
I have to take a deep breath each time I think about the FFC nowadays, so it’s kind of nice bumping into this poster whose words, as it happens, are coming to a shirt near you. As though it were a cosmic reminder that instead of freaking out, I should look forward to what we’re gonna learn on that weekend.
<form> function() & .class web design conference 2012
The third FFC will be held on November 10 & 11 at the University of Santo Tomas. We’ve tweaked our format yet again: Day One will consist solely of 3-hour, multi-track workshops while Day Two will comprise conference plenary sessions. The agenda covers responsive web design, web-based game development, HTML5, interaction design, business sense, and more. We’re also holding a pre-party / networking night at KYSS on October 26. Make […]
Antukin Notebooks
First found these notebooks in Fully Booked last year under fifty pesos apiece. The cover illustrations by Joanne de Leon are originally for Antukin: Philippine Folk Songs and Lullabyes compiled by Felicidad Prudente. Not bigger than a postcard and binds 60 cream-colored sheets, the notebook actually dots its pages like graphing paper, instead of the usual horizontal rules. Which means the pattern won’t distract from what you write on it, […]
Anything you say, post, tweet, reblog can and will be used against you
“I will spell it out for those who don’t understand: The recently signed Cybercrime Bill provision of libel will mean: 1) You can be taken to court for expressing a negative opinion. 2) You can be taken to court if someone is affected by your opinion. 3) You can be taken to court at a court which is farthest from where you live, because you as the defendant has to […]
