The 7th Form Function & Class conference will be held on October 22 to 23, 2016 at the Hive Hotel in Quezon City, and you’re cordially invited to be part of it!
This year’s FFC6 turns last year’s theme on its head and focuses on the “evils” and “villains” in design that need to be eliminated, all while sporting a new logo and original typeface. Design may be super-hot right now, but a lot of misconceptions and bad habits remain, so FFC6 is our battlecry to rally against those things in a sort of Rebel Alliance-y, Mockingjay-esque fashion. Five months ago I lusted over the gorgeous packet they handed out at this year’s design-focused Google I/O, so it was a wonderful surprise to get my hands on it, thanks to Chelle! I could try to photograph it, but you’re better off looking at shots from the designers themselves, San Francisco-based studio Manual. It’s also gone two days, two venues (College of St. Benilde on Saturday), and simultaneous workshops. Even this year’s branding takes off on FFC 2012, […]
Gab Madrid did these sketches of speakers and friends at the 2012 Form Function & Class web design conference. Awesome! ♥
I have to take a deep breath each time I think about the FFC nowadays, so it’s kind of nice bumping into this poster whose words, as it happens, are coming to a shirt near you. As though it were a cosmic reminder that instead of freaking out, I should look forward to what we’re gonna learn on that weekend.
