Websites

I made the official chapter website for Phi Kappa Phi’s U.P. Chapter 045 in 2003. It was presented to the members of the Honor Society during its diamond celebration. Back then, I designed with Internet Explorer in mind, and it was Netscape that gave coders a headache. I think this was the first freelance job (yes, paid) ever.
I also remember helping out with some of their publications, such as their newsletter and their souvenir program for that Spirit of ‘67 concert (that HP 9300 printer was a really hard worker), but the website was a much bigger thing.
For now, I’m only grateful I got into the Society. I think I won’t mind re-doing the website for free, heh. Now, if only these people could actually understand and appreciate the value of a website.
COULD YOU GIVE ME THE WEBSITE ADDRESS OF THE PHI KAPPA PHI CHAPTER 045 THAT YOU MENTIONED YOU HAD DESIGNED. I AM A MEMBER OF THAT CHAPTER. MANY THANKS FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSE
Hello Sir. I’m afraid the webhost is no longer available and I am in no position to control that. However, I will inform you if the Chapter will rebuild its website.

Ia,
I was wondering why would a brand new webhost that is less than three years years old fold up?
Are you a member of this honor society? Thanks
Well, for one thing, the site was on a free host, which wasn’t very dependable.
Yes, I was just inducted into the honor society last April. :)

Thanks for the reply.
Here in the U.S. most universities have well established chapter websites. In addition to the college chapters, we also have PKP alumni associations. Someday, if you choose to do graduate work here, you may want to be active in either a college chapter or alumni association, especially for scholarship applications, travel/study grants, and references, or simply for socialization purposes.
Best regards.

Will keep that in mind, Sir. Thank you! As for the websites, I agree with you. Even if this country has progressed a bit, websites are still undervalued here. They’re just not part of the majority’s necessities yet.
IA,
DID YOU SEE THE PHI KAPPA PHI WEBSITE LINK THAT I EMAILED YOU THE OTHER MONTH? I SEE THE 1933 CHARTER OR DOCUMENT WAS INCLUDED THERE. WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?
IA,
I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOU YET CONCERNING THE LAST TWO MESSAGES I HAD SENT LAST MONTH AS SHOWN ABOVE. I WILL WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU UNTIL THE END OF THIS WEEK.
IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU, I WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT DR. NATALIA MORALIES, UP CHAPTER PRESIDENT OF PHI KAPPA PHI, TO CHECK YOU OUT. MY UNDERSTANDING FROM THE CHAPTER IS THAT SOMEONE ELSE DID THEIR WEBSITE. THANKS.
Sir, I didn’t receive any email from you. I also tried contacting your email but have received no reply. It would be better if you emailed me privately on this matter. Please send your messages to sofimi (at) gmail (dot) com. Thank you. :)
I’m not sure about the charter document, but I remember editing an image of it. The charter document, as I recall, is in the Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 045 office.
