Giving my archives some “snazz”

I’ve given my already-refreshed Archives another refresh by way of a WordPress plugin called Snazzy Archives by Vladimir Prelovac. It reminds me of the very nifty Museum Tumblr theme by Paul Giacherio.

Both are elegant solutions to this literally growing problem of dealing with online content, especially in blogging. Perhaps it’s even an example of what Jason Santa Maria calls art direction in web design, except that he was probably referring to something more carefully crafted than generated, more orderly than chaotic. (Maybe I’ve been using Plurk for too long.)

Take note that the plugin is an entry to the ongoing WordPress Plugin Competition, so if you happen to use it as well and like it, be sure to vote for it.

You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <s> <strike> <strong> Anything in between < and > will be treated as HTML, so you might want to use character entities if you have to display literal markup.
