Anecdotes
The original HTML code of the CMS was horrible—a nightmare of table cells and other horrible coding practices. I had taught myself to unlearn those ancient methods and now they throw it back at me? I hated it! Worse was that the code in the PHP files were encrypted! Yes, closed-source. If one wished to add a contact form, the people at the forums would suggest using an iframe! What kind of thinking is that? Too much hackery here and there.
At least AC looks good. It was based on the look of the blog. I also like the sorta’ kinda’ typographical logo (please critique!). Has a classic and Web 2.0 feel to it.

This is pretty interesting, Ia. Did you just launch this now? There’s already a whole bunch of articles on it.
We’re in our third week I think. :P
[...] The directory’s elegant design is the work of Ia (read her design anecdotes on her portfolio). Together, we maintain the site, and are planning to open another one in the near future (this time niche-oriented). [...]
